The church remodeling is finally nearing an end! With only carpet installation, the drum room and pew upholstery left, and the marble tile in progress now, it's only a matter of time until we can enjoy our first service in the new sanctuary! Projected dates for the transition are within 1-2 weeks. Until then, we will post updates on the progress.

'Fall Festival '10-
Sunday, October 31, 2010
Our church fall fest was an enjoyable time for all in attendance! With a bounce house for all the kids (as well as the kids at heart!), a fire pit for toasting frozen fingers, noses, marshmallows and hot dogs, football, a hayride, an occasional go-cart ride, and all-around fun and fellowship. Thank you to all the women who brought food and desserts and to all the men for set-up and keeping the fire pit stoked! Enjoy pics below!

Bro. PJ White
Our greatest thanks to Bro. PJ White for his compassion and much needed help in our current situation with our building's insurance company. He made the long trip from California, out of the kindness of his heart to help in the way only he can. We were not only blessed by his skill in working with insurance companies, but also his passionate preaching of the Word. What a wonderful blessing he has been to First Pentecostal Church of Kansas City! From all of us, we thank you!

FPC On Fire!
Late Friday night through early Saturday morning, we had a terrible accident here at FPC. There was a chemical reaction with some lacquer-soaked rags in a garbage can in the sanctuary, which is still under construction. It caused enough heat to start a small fire, which would have turned into a large one if someone hadn't caught it early Saturday morning. It visibly damaged the floor, the chandelier and the ceiling above it. It destroyed the trash can and everything in it. It also caused soot to settle all over EVERYTHING. It left nothing untouched in the entire building. Quite a handful of the church members got together and cleaned the church as best as possible. Unfortunately, the soot can be very damaging in the long run, so most of the work done by the church men must be started over.

-FPC Remodeling-
First Pentecostal Church of Kansas City is under construction! We are currently revamping our sanctuary, which is located on the top floor of our church building. While construction is in effect, services are being held in our fellowship hall, which is located on the floor level. The sanctuary is looking absolutely beautiful, thanks to all the faithful and willing men in our church who dedicate their time and workmanship, weekly, to this project. Although we do not have an exact time set for completion and dedication; by faith it will be in the very near future! Please enjoy a few photos of the current status of construction. (Pardon any clutter! Remember........under construction.)
